Portable ACs for dorms generally cover a small area
Dorms can range in size from 120 to 250 square feet for two students. You’re lucky if you end up in a bigger one.
Portable air conditioners on my list range in coverage area from 225 to 450 square feet. You won’t have a problem finding a unit that is suitable for your room.
It might be a good idea to get a unit that is slightly larger than your room to ensure it cools effectively on hot days.
